Introducing the Harmony Hub

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Newark Ohio Pride Coalition Partners with Safe Space Alliance to Launch Harmony Hub

Newark, OH – The Newark Ohio Pride Coalition is excited to announce the launch of the Harmony Hub, a dedicated safe space for fostering diversity, inclusion, and support for the LGBTQ+ community. In partnership with the Safe Space Alliance, this initiative extends our reach, connecting local safe spaces with a global network. Harmony Hub partners are now highlighted in the Safe Space Alliance database, making it easier for individuals to find supportive environments.

A common question we received from the community was where was a “safe space” for a doctor, or to read a book, or to get coffee with friends. The activity or location may have changed, but the need was constant: the community needs to know where they can feel welcome and safe.

We launched the Harmony Hub to answer these questions.

Any business that is interested in declaring themselves a safe space and proudly standing with our community can be added to the larger Safe Space Alliance database. Businesses that have a direct relationship with Newark Ohio Pride Coalition or have had high praise from the community will be highlighted on our page directly with a notation representing their relationship for transparancy.

To make this work we need your support. If you are a business owner, or work for a business that should join our database please fill our the form on our website to let us know. We’ll reach out to confirm your business details and get you listed.

If you’re not part of a business but you’ve had a wonderful experience that’s just as important! Highlighting these businesses to us lets us know who we could contact for a partnership. And just as important - if you see a business listed that is no longer a space space let us know and we’ll look into it.

Together, let's continue to build a more inclusive and supportive community.
